Firework Highlights from the Ritz-Carlton Residences Beachfront at Singer Island Florida

Beachfront at Singer Island Fireworks

Where will you be this New Year’s Eve? If it’s The Ritz-Carlton Residences beachfront at Singer Island, you’re in luck, as that’s a great vantage point from which to enjoy nearby firework displays as they light up the night sky. Fireworks over the Intracoastal are especially magical, and throughout the Palm Beaches, there are New Year’s Eve celebrations that culminate in a dazzling display of pyrotechnics. In addition to the waterfront firework displays visible from Singer Island condos, there are also plenty of New Year’s festivities a short drive from Singer Island. One of the most impressive New Year’s Eve celebrations is on Clematis Street in West Palm Beach. The fun, free and festive block party begins at 8 p.m. and includes food vendors, live concerts, a ball drop and, of course, the usual magnificent fireworks display at midnight. You can also make reservations for dinner at any of the many restaurants in the bustling historic district.

Just south of Singer Island Beach, the town of Delray is hosting First Night, a family-friendly extravaganza. With the purchase of a button for $10 ($15 on December 31), revelers have access to 24 indoor and outdoor venues throughout downtown. Beginning at 4 p.m. with the People’s Procession—a parade for everyone—there is entertainment for the whole family, including music, dance, a climbing wall, art, mazes, play centers, photo booths, skateboarding, magic and much more. The evening ends with an amazing Ping-Pong Ball Drop, and spectacular fireworks at midnight.

For an unusual twist on New Year’s Eve, the South Florida Science Museum in West Palm Beach is hosting a New Year’s Night at the Museum, which is on Friday, December 30 from 6 to 10 p.m. Not far from Singer Island, Florida, the museum offers fun for the entire family. Kids can make a magic pretzel wand to wish for a Happy New Year, and leap into 2012 with a frog dissection!

The Jupiter Outdoor Center gets the prize for the most non-traditional approach to New Year’s Eve. The Center will host its 15th Annual Guided Kayak Tour and Burning Bowl Ceremony from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The event begins with a kayak tour from the Jupiter Inlet Aquatic Preserve. While it’s only minutes by car from Palm Beach oceanfront condos, when you paddle along the inlet as night falls, the city feels a million miles away. After the sunset paddle through the Preserve, you write down the things you wish to be rid of in 2012. One by one, everyone throws their list into the bowl and watch them set ablaze. The cost for the event, which includes the kayak tour, burning bowl ceremony, meditation and campfire is $55 per person and $25 for children 12 and under.

From the luxury of Singer Island condos, there are so many options for how to spend New Year’s Eve. Wherever you go, have fun ringing in 2012!
